Mainstreet Capital Partners is a real estate investment and management company seeking opportunities in office and industrial buildings across the southeastern and southwestern United States. Mainstreet Capital Partners, Inc. was established in 1999 by Paul J. Kilgallon. Mainstreet seeks to align itself with investment partners by sourcing investment opportunities in its core markets, then acting as the General Partner to complete the transaction. Mainstreet also manages the properties through its management affiliate, Mainstreet Real Estate Services, Inc.
To date, Mainstreet has completed twenty-one investments totaling $850 million with seven institutional partners. Mainstreet has expanded from its original South Florida base with the addition of two long-term associates of Mr. Kilgallon. Peter Tonon, formerly an investment broker with Chesterton-Binswanger joined Mainstreet in January 2000. Mr. Tonon oversees the North and South Carolina region and has primary responsibility for managing Mainstreet’s capital requirements.
Mainstreet consistently finds attractive real estate investments regardless of the short term cycles in the space and capital markets. As investors, Mainstreet seeks to capitalize on dislocations between the capital and real estate markets in selected, high growth metropolitan areas. This approach characterizes the investment philosophy the principals of Mainstreet have implemented in more than 50 years of combined investment experience.
